Getting Started

1. Create Your Account

Visit campersplit.com and click "Get Started Free". Enter your name, email address, and choose a password.

You will receive a confirmation email. Click the link to verify your account and you are ready to go.

2. Add Your Vehicle

After signing in, click "Add Vehicle" on the dashboard. Fill in the vehicle details:

• Vehicle name (e.g. "Our Camper")
• Make and model (optional but helpful)
• Current odometer reading in kilometers
• Average fuel consumption (L/100km)
• Tank capacity in liters

Next, configure the cost parameters under Settings: tax amount and period, monthly insurance, and the agreed contribution per kilometer.

3. Invite Co-owners

Go to your vehicle's Settings page and scroll to "Invite Co-owners". Choose a role for the new member:

• Owner — Owner — full access to settings, members, and all data
• User — User — can log trips, maintenance, and refueling
• Viewer — Viewer — read-only access to all data

Click "Generate Invite Link" and share it with your co-owner. They can sign up and join instantly.

4. Log Your First Trip

Navigate to the Trips tab and click "Start Trip". Enter a title and the current odometer reading. When you return, end the trip by entering the final odometer reading.

Camper Split automatically calculates the distance and the trip cost based on your configured rate per kilometer.
