Maintenance

From oil changes to new tires, Camper Split helps you track all maintenance expenses and split them fairly between co-owners.

Adding a Maintenance Record

Navigate to the Maintenance tab and click "Add Record". Enter a description of the work done, the date, and the cost.

You can choose whether the cost is shared equally among all co-owners or attributed to a specific member.

How Costs Are Shared

When you mark a maintenance entry as shared, the cost is divided equally between all vehicle members. This keeps things fair for expenses that benefit everyone — like regular servicing or tire replacement.

If you paid out of your own pocket, this amount is credited to your balance. Other members will see they owe you their share.

For large expenses, discuss with your co-owners first. You can always adjust the sharing model in your vehicle's cost settings.

Linking to Trips

You can optionally link a maintenance entry to a specific trip. This is useful for tracking costs associated with particular journeys — for example, an emergency repair during a road trip.

Linked expenses appear in the trip's cost breakdown, giving you a complete picture of what each trip actually cost.
